How to connect Claude to your Linux server (custom MCP connector)

Add AskYourStack as a connector in Claude and ask your first question.

1. Add AskYourStack to Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it AskYourStack and paste https://askyourstack.com/mcp (the same address for everyone). Leave the OAuth fields empty.
  3. Press Connect.

2. Sign in and allow

  1. An AskYourStack page opens: sign in if it asks, check that it is Claude asking, and press Allow.
  2. Back in a chat, open the tools menu and make sure AskYourStack is switched on.
  3. Prefer not to sign in from the client? The Dashboard's Step 3 also offers a private address: it is the key itself, so keep it to yourself. Each connected app can be ended under Security.

3. Ask something

Try: What runs on my server, and is anything wrong? Claude calls server_facts and health_report and answers in plain words. The Dashboard shows Connection confirmed after the first call.

Try it on your own server

Free connects one server in read-only mode: your AI can look, read logs and explain what is wrong.
