Talk to your server. Your AI does the rest.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your Linux server. Set up a raw VPS, install Magento or WordPress, fix errors, take backups, lock it down and audit your SEO, by asking in plain words.
Rocky 10 · 4 GB · dnfdnf install nginx php-fpm mariadb-server …/etc · before-magentofirewall-cmd --remove-service=…waiting for youFrom an empty VPS to a live shop, in one chat
Measured with Claude Code on fresh test servers: 43 tool calls for the shop, 21 minutes for a server-to-server migration with 56 seconds of downtime.
Everything you would SSH in to do
Your AI gets a shell on your server as the Linux user you choose (root only if you want the whole server), files and snapshots, plus Search Console and Analytics, and knows Linux, nginx, Magento, WordPress and SEO well. You describe the outcome.
Set up a raw server
From an empty VPS to a tuned web server: packages, users, nginx, PHP, MySQL, SSL, swap and time zone.
Install Magento or WordPress
Your AI picks a sensible stack for the server's size, installs it, sets up cron and caching and checks it serves.
Lock it down
Firewall, SSH keys only, fail2ban, automatic security updates. Explained before it changes anything.
Backups and crons
Database dumps and file backups on a schedule, rotated, with a restore you have actually tested.
Fix what broke
Reads the logs, finds why the site returns 500 or the cron stopped, and fixes it with your say-so.
Clean up malware
Scans files, database and cron for backdoors and card skimmers, then cleans up with your approval.
Build modules and plugins
Writes a Magento module or WordPress plugin on the server itself, deploys it and checks it works.
Keep an eye on it
Disk, memory, load, failed services, SSL expiry, backups that stopped and known vulnerabilities, in one plain report.
Technical SEO
Search Console, GA4, Core Web Vitals and your access logs together, then the fixes on the server with your say-so.

Paste one line as the Linux user who owns your sites: the agent manages that user's sites and files and nothing else. Want it to run the whole server, packages, services and firewall? Run the same line as root. The agent is open source. The dashboard shows it online within seconds.

And if you are wondering...
Like sudo: power for a while, never forever
An AI with a shell on your server is powerful, and you should not have to trust us with it. So the agent runs as an ordinary Linux user unless you choose root, the right to change a server is something you grant for a few hours, every risky step still asks, the agent on your server is open source, and you can check every one of these claims yourself.
A change window you open
Nothing changes on a server until you open changes on it, for 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. It closes by itself. Outside it the AI can only look.
Approvals only you can give
Deleting data, databases, SSH, the firewall: the AI gets a link and waits. Approving needs you signed in, so planted text cannot approve anything.
An open-source agent you can verify
The only thing on your server is public code. Every release names its source commit; rebuild it and compare the hash with the binary you run.
A Linux user by default, root by choice
The agent runs as the user who owns your sites, and Linux itself keeps it there. Run it as root only when you want the whole server. One command on the server locks it to reads, whatever anyone says.
Snapshots and rollback
Saved before changes; a copy of tables and folders before an approved delete. Rollback is one call.
Every action logged
Each command, file write and result, with its risk level, in your activity log, with the approvals and windows you gave.

Frequently asked questions
What is AskYourStack?
A bridge between your AI and your Linux server. You install a small agent on the server with one line, add AskYourStack to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and then ask in plain words. The AI runs commands and edits files on the server through the agent.
Does it need root?
No. Run the install line as the Linux user who owns your sites and the agent manages only that user's sites and files; Linux itself keeps it there. Run it as root only if you want it to look after the whole server: packages, services, firewall, new sites. Either way the same change windows, approvals and activity log apply.
Do you get my SSH keys or root password?
No. The agent calls out to us over HTTPS and asks for work. We never store a key or password for your server, it opens no port, and stopping it is one command: systemctl disable --now sudowhizzy-agent.
Can the AI change my server at any time?
No. Every server has a change window, closed by default. While it is closed the AI can look, read logs and plan, and anything that would change the server is refused with a link for you. You open changes for 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours when there is work to do, never for good, and can close them early. Inside the window the safety mode applies as before, and destructive actions still wait for your approval in normal mode.
Can I see what you install on my server?
Yes. The agent is open source (github.com/shopwhizzy/askyourstack-agent, Apache-2.0), and every release is built reproducibly from a public commit named in the signed release manifest, so you can rebuild it and compare the hash with the binary on your server. You can also read the install script before running it, and lock the agent on the server itself so it answers only read-only operations and no shell commands, whatever the dashboard says. It runs as an ordinary Linux user unless you choose root for the whole server. The security page shows how to check each claim.
What stops the AI from breaking something?
Every action is sorted by risk. Reading runs straight away. Changes run after /etc is saved. Anything destructive, like deleting folders, dropping a database or touching SSH and the firewall, waits until you approve it, signed in on askyourstack.com. You can also put a server in read-only mode or pause everything with one click.
Does AskYourStack help with SEO?
Yes. Connect Google Search Console (every paid plan) and Google Analytics 4 (Pro and Agency) read-only, and your AI reads your queries, pages, indexing, sitemaps, traffic and visits from AI assistants next to your server's access logs, Core Web Vitals and structured data. It can then fix what it finds on the server, such as redirects, robots.txt, canonicals and caching, with your approval, and write new titles or content as drafts. The crawl report from your logs is on every plan, Free included.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Your AI takes snapshots of folders and databases before risky work, and a rollback writes them back. A rollback saves the current state first, so it can be undone too. Every file it overwrites also keeps its previous version.
Which servers work?
Any Linux server with systemd: Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky, Alma, RHEL and similar, on x86 or ARM, from any provider. A fresh empty VPS works, and so does a server already running a shop or site.
Which AI do I need?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers: Claude (claude.ai, Desktop and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Cursor and others. Your AI subscription is billed by its own provider; AskYourStack covers the bridge, the safety net and support.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free connects one server in read-only mode: your AI can look at it, read logs and config files, check health and explain what is wrong, up to 50 tool calls a day, with a daily health check and alert emails. Upgrade when you want it to fix things; Starter adds changes, approvals, snapshots and the Magento, WordPress and database tools, Pro adds the malware scan, site checks every 5 minutes and bot attack alerts.
I upgraded. Why does my AI not see the new tools?
AI clients load the list of tools when they connect. After a plan change, reconnect AskYourStack: in Claude Code run /mcp and reconnect, in Claude.ai or ChatGPT start a new chat, in Cursor turn the server off and on. The dashboard shows a reminder until your client has loaded the new tools.
Do prices go up?
Yes, in rounds. The first 10 paying customers get founding prices (Starter €12, Pro €32, Agency €92 a month), the next 25 early prices (€16, €40, €105), and everyone after that the standard prices (€20, €46, €120). Whatever price you start on is yours while you stay subscribed, also when you switch plan or period. If you cancel and come back later, you get the prices of that day.
Is there a plan without a server?
Yes. The SEO plans (SEO Starter €12, SEO Pro €32, SEO Agency €92 a month; the first 10 SEO subscribers pay €10, €28 and €86 and keep that price) cover Google Search Console, Google Analytics and the page tools for 1, 5 or 25 sites, with nothing to install; a site is one Search Console property and its GA4 property. They have no servers and no connected sites, so your AI can read, audit and recommend, not change pages. Switching to a server plan later keeps your Google connection.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel in Billing and you keep your paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to Free. Your servers stay yours.
Ready to stop SSH-ing in at midnight?
