WordPress and WooCommerce

A fast, secure WordPress server, run by your AI

Skip the control panel. Your AI sets up WordPress on your own VPS the way a good host would, then keeps working on it: plugin errors, white screens, slow pages, updates, backups and malware. It runs wp-cli as the site's owner and asks you before anything destructive.

Works with Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Cursor.

How your AI does it

  1. STEP 1

    A clean base

On a raw server your AI first updates everything, adds a firewall with only SSH, HTTP and HTTPS open, automatic security updates, fail2ban and swap if the server needs it. 1 GB of RAM works for WordPress; 2 GB is comfortable.

  2. STEP 2

    A proper stack

nginx, PHP-FPM with the extensions WordPress recommends, MariaDB with a random password, Redis or Valkey for the object cache and wp-cli from its official release. A dedicated system user owns the site, and the PHP pool runs as that user.

  3. STEP 3

    A safe install

WordPress with fresh salts, a random admin username (never admin), file editing in the dashboard switched off and minor core updates on. WP-Cron is replaced by a real system cron, and the Redis object cache plugin is enabled.

  4. STEP 4

    nginx and SSL

A standard WordPress server block that denies wp-config.php and PHP inside uploads, long cache headers for static files and a Let's Encrypt certificate once your domain points at the server.

  5. STEP 5

    Checked and saved

The site and wp-admin answer, wp core verify-checksums passes, credentials go to a root-only file instead of the chat, and a snapshot is taken.

On an existing site, your AI can

  • Find every WordPress site on the server with list_sites
  • Run wp-cli as the site's owner: plugins, themes, users, options, cache, cron
  • Find the plugin behind a white screen or a 500 error from the PHP and nginx logs
  • Verify core and plugin checksums against wordpress.org
  • Query the database with the credentials from wp-config.php, read-only unless you approve
  • Update core, plugins and PHP after a snapshot, and roll back if something breaks
  • Set up nightly backups that leave the server, and test a restore
  • Write a small plugin on the server, install it and check it works
  • Audit the site's SEO with Search Console, GA4 and your access logs, and save improved titles and posts as drafts

Start with this prompt

Paste it into your AI with AskYourStack connected. It fetches the matching playbook and explains its plan before changing anything.

Using AskYourStack, set up my empty server for WordPress at my domain. Check the server with server_facts first and ask me for the domain, site title and admin email if I have not given them. Follow the server-setup and wordpress playbooks (get_playbook). Use a random admin username, keep passwords out of the chat (root-only file), and finish with a short report and next steps.

Questions

Do I still need cPanel or Plesk?

No. Your AI sets up and maintains the stack directly with the distro's own tools, so there is no panel to license, update or secure. You keep full root access, and nothing is installed that you cannot see.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin, so the same stack and tools apply. For a busy shop your AI will suggest more PHP workers, a bigger database buffer and the object cache.

Will my AI delete plugins or users without asking?

Deleting plugins, users or database data waits for your approval, signed in on askyourstack.com. Routine work such as clearing caches or updating a plugin after a snapshot runs straight away and is logged.

Can it help with WordPress SEO?

Yes. Connect Search Console and, on Pro and Agency, Google Analytics 4. Your AI checks indexing, sitemaps, redirects, your SEO plugin's settings, structured data and Core Web Vitals against what Googlebot really fetched, fixes the server side with your approval, and writes new titles or posts as WordPress drafts for you to review.

Can it move my site from shared hosting?

If the old host gives you SSH and you can install the AskYourStack agent there, yes, with the migrate playbook. If not, your AI can import a backup archive and database dump you upload to the new server.

Safety on every task: nothing changes on a server unless you opened changes on it for a few hours, destructive actions wait for your approval, /etc is saved before changes, every action is logged, and the agent on your server is open source. How it works · Check it yourself.
